Cassa Depositi e Prestiti S.p.A., a joint-stock company controlled by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance, is the Italian National Promotional Institution and Development Finance Institution, with a mission to promote Italy’s sustainable development by using savings responsibly to drive growth and employment, supporting innovation and business competitiveness, infrastructure, and local development, with a countercyclical role in the event of market failures. 

CDP is the main lender to Italian Public Administration and key sponsor/advisor for infrastructure development, supporting, among other public initiatives, the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP). 

CDP supports both the domestic and international growth of Italian companies, also indirectly via the banking channel, is active in the international cooperation and a long-term investor in relevant Italian listed/unlisted companies and in major Infrastructure and Real Estate initiatives.
