Piazza Affari shines

News Image (Teleborsa) - The Borsa Italiana is up amid a flurry of buy orders, just like the major European exchanges. On Wall Street, trading remains cautious, with the S&P-500 reporting a +0.1% change.

EUR / USD holds its position at 1.081. Gold advances with a fractional gain of +0.39%. Light Sweet Crude Oil is slightly down at 68.77 dollars per barrel.

The Spread remains unchanged at +107 basis points, while the Italy ten-year BTP is at +3.83%.

Among the European markets, Frankfurt performs well, growing +1.13%, London is modestly up (+0.3%), and Paris secures a tidy +1.08% gain.

The Milan bourse closes up as the FTSE MIB gains +1.06%, breaking its streak of three consecutive rises, which began last Thursday; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share delivers positive performance, finishing +1.03% up over the previous close.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is moderately up (+0.69%); on the same line, the FTSE Italia Star is only just in the black (+0.34%).

Unicredit (+3.29%), Banca Mediolanum (+2.28%), Intesa Sanpaolo (+2.20%) and Banco Bpm (+2.14%) among the best performing blue chips in Piazza Affari.

Pirelli & C sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -2.51% lower.

Tottering Prysmian dips -1.29%.

Saipem is definitely weaker with a -1.18% decrease.

Moncler slips just under the flatline with a -0.97% decrease.

Newlat Food (+7.27%), GVS (+4.86%), Technoprobe (+4.44%) and Banco di Desio e della Brianza (+3.61%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.

Fincantieri has the worst performance, closing -6.03% down.

Investors hurry to sell as Carel Industries declines -2.43%.

Ariston Holding plunges -2.15% on intense selling.

Investors are selling as El.En records a -2.15% fall.
