Fidelity International
Who we are
Fidelity International is one of the world's leading management companies, providing superior investment solutions and retirement advice. As an independent, privately-owned company operating only in the investment industry, we respond to the needs of our clients, not shareholders. Our goal is to offer innovative solutions to clients for a better future. We are present in 25 countries across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and South America. Our clients include central banks, sovereign wealth funds, large corporations, financial institutions, insurance companies, asset managers and individuals. In addition to asset management, we offer investment administration and advice for corporate, advisory and private pension plans in several countries.
What we do
Fidelity is committed to high standards of corporate responsibility and ethics, which can also translate into capital protection and return. As a result, the investment process takes into account the environmental, social and governance ("ESG") impact of the securities in which we are invested. Fidelity also takes a global proactive approach to cooperation with the players of the investment industry, governments and regulators to promote and encourage ever-improving standards of sustainability in line with the needs of investors and the world around us.

Operations, Projects, Actions, Signatory
We are signatories to the Principles for Responsible Investments (PRI) since 2012 and rated A+ in all the categories assessed.
In 2019 we launched our in-house, proprietary sustainable rating system.
In 2020 we founded and signed, together with other 30 asset managers, the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative, committing to support the goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 or sooner, in line with global efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C and to support investing aligned with net zero emissions by 2050 or sooner.
In 2020 we have launched our inaugural Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) annual report. This follows Fidelity’s commitment to reduce its operational carbon emissions to net zero by 2040.
In 2020 we have raised awareness of 400,000 seafarers stuck at sea, unable to disembark at major ports after restrictions were imposed by national authorities in response to the pandemic. Fidelity wrote to over 30 companies in the shipping and charter sectors and has invited other investors to co-sign a letter to the UN calling for urgent action to address the situation.
We have recently supported the launch of the World Benchmarking Alliance’s (WBA) inaugural Digital Inclusion Benchmark (DIB). Digital tools have become a lifeline for many during the pandemic, but they have also exacerbated economic inequality. With this initiative we would like to guide the most influential global tech companies on their contribution to digital inclusion.
