PowerShares expands its offer on fundamental indices

Starting from December 10th 2007, 2 new ETFs respectively on FTSE RAFI Developed 1000 Fund and on FTSE RAFI Europe Developed Mid-Small Fund

Borsa Italiana welcomes 2 new ETFs listed on the Open-end Index Funds - class 2 segment of ETFplus market issued by PowerShares Global Fund Ireland Public Ltd Company: "PowerShares FTSE RAFI Developed 1000 Fund" and "PowerShares FTSE RAFI Europe Developed Mid-Small Fund"

The investment target of the new ETFs is to mirror the performance of their benchmark indices:

FTSE RAFI Developed 1000:
The index consists of the 1000 companies with the largest fundamental value, selected from the constituents of the FTSE Developed all Cap Index.

FTSE RAFI Europe Developed Mid-Small:
The index consists of the european small and mid companies with the largest fundamental value.

FTSE Rafi (Research Affiliates Fundamental Index) are indices composed by stocks which are selected by using four fundamental factors: sales, cash flow, book value, dividends.  The weighting factor used in the index calculation is derived by dividing the RAFI fundamental value of each company (calculated using  the above mentioned factors) by its free-float adjusted market capitalisation.

The total expense ratio of the ETFs in equal to 0,75%.
