ELITE, London Stock Exchange Group’s international support programme for high growth businesses, reaches a milestone today, with 406 companies now part of the ELITE community. 17 new ambitious Italian companies join ELITE, through a collaboration with Deutsche Bank Italia.
ELITE and Deutsche Bank Italia have partnered to create an ELITE Deutsche Bank Italia Lounge to attract new companies, specifically Deutsche Bank Italia clients, to ELITE. The ELITE Lounge model offers banks the opportunity to broaden their offering to clients, giving companies the opportunity to stimulate cultural and organisational change with the support of ELITE and the bank.
The new 17 Italian companies come from across the country, from Piemonte to Veneto and Lombardia to Sardinia and represent a diverse range of sectors, from food & beverage companies to software and electronics firms. Today, ELITE includes 406 companies with aggregate revenues of over €33 billion, accounting for approximately 140,000 jobs across Europe.
Raffaele Jerusalmi, CEO of Borsa Italiana said:
“The ELITE Lounge model is an innovation and opportunity in the banking sector. Through ELITE, banks have the ability to offer their fast growth clients a unique suite of support services. We are delighted to partner with Deutsche Bank Italia, allowing ELITE’s network to grow and support more ambitious companies in their development. We warmly welcome the 17 new Italian companies joining ELITE today.”
“We strongly believe that exporting companies are one of the most important elements for the growth and development of a country – Flavio Valeri, Deutsche Bank Chief Country Officer for Italy commented. For this reason, we continue to support enterpreneurship which allows innovation, internationalisation and the ability for companies to face the challenges of global competition. Our commitment towards companies is characterized both by the support we give through commercial bank activities and through partnerships on exclusive tailor made projects like the one presented today, ELITE. We are excited to start this virtuous cycle side by side with our clients. I am sure that this growing path will reveal significant results.”
Created to support companies in realizing their growing projects, ELITE gives them access to numerous financing opportunities, improves their visibility and attractiveness and puts them in contact with potential investors, supporting management in their cultural and organizational change.
