Capitalization reached € 580,9 billion (487,4 at the end of 2003) representing 43,1% of Gross Domestic Product.
In detail, capitalization totalled € 568,9 billion for the Stock Exchange( 474,6 at the end of 2003), € 6,7 billion for the Nuovo Mercato (8,3) and 5,3 for the Mercato Expandi (4,6).
