Uncertainty keeps European markets cautious
(Teleborsa) - Europe's bourses close on a cautious note today, including Piazza Affari. Wall Street is riding a wave of uncertainty as the S&P-500 posts a timid -0.13% change.
EUR / USD advances with a fractional gain of +0.25%. Gold trades down -0.7% in a weak session. Light Sweet Crude Oil is firmly bullish (+1.51%), reaching 71.08 dollars per barrel.
The Spread is significantly higher, adding 7 basis points to reach +114 BPs, while the Italian 10-year BTP yield is at +3.38%.
Among the European indices, Frankfurt trades largely sideways, London reports no significant price changes in the absence of fresh cues, and stagnant Paris trades to a near stalemate.
In Milan, Piazza Affari sees fairly steady trading around previous levels, with the FTSE MIB finishing at 34,889 points; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share undulates around the flatline, ending the day at 37,120 points.
The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is practically unchanged (+0.07%); similarly, the FTSE Italia Star holds the line (-0.1%).
Telecom Italia (+2.69%), Iveco (+2.41%), Bper (+1.67%) and MPS Bank (+1.37%) among the top performers in Milan.
