Timid gains in Milan

News Image (Teleborsa) - The Milan stock exchange is trading slightly higher, while the rest of Europe flatlines.

EUR / USD creeps higher, showing a +0.2% rise. Gold trades down -0.14% in a weak session. Light Sweet Crude Oil is on the plus side, rising +0.21%.

The Spread is firmly down, shedding -8 basis points to settle at +111 BPs, with the Italian 10-year BTP yield at +3.52%.

Among the European indices, Frankfurt trades largely sideways, London reports no significant price changes in the absence of fresh cues, and stagnant Paris trades to a near stalemate.

The Borsa Italiana edges up as the FTSE MIB rises +0.42%; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share crawls up to 36,494 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is practically unchanged (-0.09%); the FTSE Italia Star slips a fraction (-0.24%).

MPS Bank (+2.01%), Bper (+1.09%), Mediobanca (+1.03%) and A2A (+0.99%) top the ranks of Milan's large-caps.

Interpump Group reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -0.79% down.

Buzzi contracts moderately by -0.78%.

Rai Way (+1.49%), Banca Ifis (+1.34%), Sanlorenzo (+1.23%) and Acea (+0.93%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.

Moltiply Group has the worst performance, with a -1.75% down.

LU-VE Group is subdued, shedding -1.42%.

Comer Industries falls just below its previous value.

Newlat Food is sluggish, declining marginally (-1.14%).
