Selling prevails in Piazza Affari and the other European markets

News Image (Teleborsa) - Indices in Milan and the other major European bourses all close negative US markets also see prices slip fractionally.

EUR / USD is on the plus side, showing a +0.84% increase. Gold trades slightly up at 2,639 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil has a weak session, trading -0.42% lower.

The Spread declines to settle at +121 basis points, a reduction of 4 BPs, while the Italian BTP 10-year yield is +3.41%.

Among the European markets, Frankfurt is basically unchanged, reporting a scant -0.18% variation, London trades firm at +0.2%, and Paris suffers losses of 0.72%.

Piazza Affari closes fractionally lower as the FTSE MIB sheds -0.23%; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share closes on a downbeat note, at 35,243 points, which is just shy of the previous session's levels.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap eases -0.36%; the FTSE Italia Star holds previous levels (-0.14%).

MPS Bank (+3.15%), Pirelli & C (+1.85%), Campari (+1.77%) and Finecobank (+1.74%) top the ranks of Milan's large-caps.

Stmicroelectronics sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -2.33% lower.

Investors hurry to sell as Generali declines -2.24%.

Iveco is definitely weaker with a -1.02% decrease.

Nexi slips just under the flatline with a -0.77% decrease.

Digital Value (+17.01%), Ariston Holding (+3.87%), Alerion Clean Power (+2.45%) and Marr (+1.86%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.

Buzzi sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -2.99% lower.

Technoprobe plunges -2.18% on intense selling.

Investors are selling as Comer Industries records a -2.11% fall.

Safilo shows a negative session -1.81% down.
