Selling prevails in Piazza Affari and the other European markets

News Image (Teleborsa) - Indices in Milan and the other major European bourses all trade negative.

EUR / USD holds its position at 1.09. Gold trades up, advancing to 2,440.7 dollars per ounce. Investors sell as Light Sweet Crude Oil slides to 81.1 dollars per barrel.

The Spread is broadly on the previous day's level as it settles at +131 basis points, while the Italy ten-year BTP is at +3.72%.

Among the major European bourses, Frankfurt is modestly down, shedding -0.49%, London drifts -0.32% lower, and troubled Paris falls -0.82%.

The Milan stock market looks weak, with the FTSE MIB trading -0.4% lower; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share loses -0.38% to trade at 36,493 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap holds the line (-0.06%); the FTSE Italia Star is below the flatline, slipping -0.6%.

Among Italy's best performing large-caps, Finecobank is in positive territory with a +2.52% increase.

Prysmian makes fairly pedestrian progress (+0.81%).

Banca Popolare Sondrio looks composed with modest growth of +0.79%.

Bper performs modestly, showing a moderate +0.78% rise.

Brunello Cucinelli has the worst performance, with a -2.22% down.

Amplifon is down, with a net loss of 1.92%.

Iveco is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 1.87%.

Saipem totters along with a modest -1.5% decline.

D'Amico (+2.70%), Banca Generali (+1.82%), Ferragamo (+1.58%) and Danieli & C (+1.39%) are among Italy's top mid-cap stocks.

Alerion Clean Power has the worst performance, with a -4.56% down.

Cementir trades negative, losing -2.34%.

Cembre plunges -1.8%.

OVS declines by a notable -1.74%.
