Piazza Affari shines

News Image (Teleborsa) - The Borsa Italiana is up amid a flurry of buy orders, just like the major European exchanges. On Wall Street, the S&P-500 continues to trade in positive territory.

EUR / USD trades fractionally lower in this session, shedding -0.61% so far. Gold collapses, trading at 2,616.8 dollars per ounce after losing -2.5%. Light Sweet Crude Oil plunges to 68.06 dollars per barrel amid heavy sell-offs, losing -3.3%.

The Spread goes down to +115 basis points, an impressive reduction of 7 BPs over previous levels, with the Italy BTP 10-year yield at +3.58%.

Among the European markets, Frankfurt is firmly in the black, progressing +1.21%, London is only just in the black as it climbs a scant +0.65%, and Paris performs well, growing +1.2%.

On the Milan exchange, the FTSE MIB finishes +1.56% up amid a flurry of buy orders; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share surges +1.51% to finish at 36,513 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is up +1.03%; similarly, the FTSE Italia Star climbs +1.27%.

Leonardo (+4.33%), Azimut (+4.10%), Amplifon (+3.53%) and Finecobank (+3.34%) top the ranks of Milan's large-caps.

Moncler reports the heaviest losses, ending the session -1.19% down.

El.En (+16.10%), Digital Value (+7.88%), Fincantieri (+7.73%) and Juventus (+6.56%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.

Tinexta has the worst performance, closing -12.79% down.

A dramatic session for BFF Bank, which suffers a -4.53% collapse.

Ferretti suffers a -4.07% decline.

The Italian Sea Group plunges -2.98%.
