Piazza Affari sees buying frenzy, Europe bourses also up
(Teleborsa) - The Milanese bourse outshines the major European markets, which also gain. On the US market trading is up for the S&P-500.
EUR / USD trades down -0.24% in a weak session. Gold is up +0.73% at 2,693.2 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil trades fractionally lower in this session, shedding +0.17% so far.
The Spread jumps to +122 basis points, an increase of 4 BPs, with the Italy BTP 10Y yield at +3.4%.
Among the major European bourses, Frankfurt attracts bids with a +0.77% rise, London advances +0.67%, and Paris is firmly in the black, progressing +1.22%.
In Piazza Affari, the FTSE MIB ends the day +1.09% up at 35,039 points; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share holds onto solid gains, ending the day at 37,191 points.
The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is moderately up (+0.41%); on the same trend direction, the FTSE Italia Star is only just in the black (+0.61%).
Poste Italiane (+3.00%), Campari (+2.91%), Finecobank (+2.51%) and Saipem (+2.49%) among the top performers in Milan.
Digital Value (+8.00%), Anima Holding (+3.45%), Juventus (+2.63%) and Banco di Desio e della Brianza (+2.14%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.
Maire sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -4.51% lower.
Troubled GVS falls -2.56%.
