Piazza Affari sees buying frenzy, Europe bourses also up

News Image (Teleborsa) - The Milanese bourse outshines the major European markets, which also gain. Wall Street is riding a wave of uncertainty as the S&P-500 posts a timid +0.07% change.

There is no significant change for EUR / USD which, at 1.073, is traded around previous levels. Gold holds its position at 2,328.2 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil gains +1.57% amid a flurry of buy orders.

The Spread goes down to +149 basis points, an impressive reduction of 8 BPs over previous levels, with the Italy BTP 10-year yield at +4.1%.

Among the major European bourses, Frankfurt lacks momentum in this session, reflected in a moderate gain of 0.30%, London goes nowhere, reporting a +0.03% change, and Paris forges ahead by +1.09%.

On the Milan exchange, the FTSE MIB finishes +1.7% up amid a flurry of buy orders, putting an end to the bearish streak of four consecutive drops since last Tuesday; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share surges to end the session at 35,900 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap inches up +0.46%; similarly, the FTSE Italia Star closes just above the flatline (+0.22%).

MPS Bank (+6.70%), Bper (+5.83%), Unicredit (+4.62%) and Banco Bpm (+3.36%) top the ranks of Milan's large-caps.

Prysmian sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -1.94% lower.

Stmicroelectronics trades negative, losing -1.76%.

Campari plunges -1.59%.

A sluggish day for Interpump Group, which drops -1.16%.

Fincantieri (+10.79%), Banca Ifis (+5.40%), Intercos (+3.57%) and OVS (+2.74%) top the ranks of Milan's mid-caps.

Ariston Holding has the worst performance, closing -2.74% down.

Maire declines by a notable -2.71%.

D'Amico is struggling, -2.17% down.

Lottomatica suffers losses of 1.77%.
