On the Milan exchange, the FTSE MIB finishes +1.7% up amid a flurry of buy orders, putting an end to the bearish streak of four consecutive drops since last Tuesday; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share surges to end the session at 35,900 points.
The FTSE Italia Mid Cap inches up +0.46%; similarly, the FTSE Italia Star closes just above the flatline (+0.22%).
MPS Bank (+6.70%), Bper (+5.83%), Unicredit (+4.62%) and Banco Bpm (+3.36%) top the ranks of Milan's large-caps.
Prysmian sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -1.94% lower.
Stmicroelectronics trades negative, losing -1.76%.
