Piazza Affari rules supreme

News Image (Teleborsa) - As markets close, Milan is in pole position among Europe's stock markets, which, in turn, have seen broad selling. Wall Street is riding a wave of uncertainty as the S&P-500 posts a timid -0.04% change.

EUR / USD broadly maintains the previous session's levels, with a change of only -0.12%. Gold creeps up +0.62%. Light Sweet Crude Oil rises sharply, gaining +2.95%.

The Spread flatlines, remaining at +129 basis points, while the Italian ten-year BTP is at +3.55%.

Among the markets of the Old Continent, Frankfurt is definitely weaker with a -0.23% decrease, London trades largely sideways, and Paris slips just under the flatline with a -0.24% decrease.

The Milanese stock exchange closes slightly higher, with the FTSE MIB rising +0.43% to 34,077 points; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share inches up +0.36% to close at 36,210 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap slips below the flatline with a drop of -0.39%; similarly, the FTSE Italia Star is slightly down (-0.64%).

Bper (+8.23%), Unipol (+4.57%), Banca Popolare Sondrio (+2.98%) and Banco Bpm (+2.67%) among the best performing blue chips in Piazza Affari.

Leonardo sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -3.32% lower.

Prysmian plunges -1.82% on intense selling.

Investors are selling as ERG records a -1.63% fall.

Interpump Group contracts moderately by -1.36%.

Maire (+2.53%), Pharmanutra (+2.35%), Banco di Desio e della Brianza (+1.48%) and Caltagirone (+1.41%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.

Marr has the worst performance, closing -5.29% down.

Ariston Holding shows a negative session -2.05% down.

Troubled Ferretti falls -1.81%.

El.En is down, with a net loss of 1.73%.
