Piazza Affari in good shape, but Europe cautious
(Teleborsa) - Market reports highlight the wary mood permeating the Old Continent, with the exception of the Milan exchange, which is trading slightly higher.
EUR / USD broadly maintains the previous session's levels, with a change of only -0.04%. Gold is essentially stable at previous levels, finishing at 2,658.5 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil is firmly bullish (+1.57%), reaching 74.87 dollars per barrel.
The Spread improves, shedding -3 basis points to settle at +131 BPs, while the Italian 10-year BTP yield is at +3.5%.
Among the European markets, Frankfurt goes nowhere, reporting a +0.1% change, London is subdued, shedding -0.52%, and Paris advances +0.36%.
In Milan, the FTSE MIB registers a fractional gain of +0.61%, putting an end to the bearish streak of four consecutive drops since last Monday; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share crawls up +0.64% to close at 35,511 points.
The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is buoyed by fresh buying, up +0.99%; similarly, the FTSE Italia Star gains marginally (+0.35%).
Recordati (+3.43%), Saipem (+2.50%), Bper (+1.83%) and Telecom Italia (+1.67%) top the ranks of Milan's large-caps.
Amplifon has the worst performance, with a -2.32% down.
Campari falls just below its previous value.
D'Amico (+4.97%), Intercos (+2.72%), Cementir (+2.70%) and Ariston Holding (+2.26%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.
The Italian Sea Group has the worst performance, with a -2.84% down.
Caltagirone suffers losses of 2.01%.
Sanlorenzo is sluggish, declining marginally (-1.11%).
