Moderate gains in Milan

News Image (Teleborsa) - Piazza Affari is trading slightly higher, on a par with the major European bourses. Meanwhile on Wall Street the S&P-500 marks a +0.51% gain.

EUR / USD climbs a tad to 1.083. Gold holds its position at 2,744.6 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil plunges to 67.98 dollars per barrel amid heavy sell-offs, losing -5.29%.

The Spread sees a slight drop, falling to +121 basis points, while the Italy 10-year BTP yield stands at +3.47%.

Among the European markets, Frankfurt is essentially healthy, gaining +0.26%, London is modestly up (+0.37%), and Paris is in good shape, advancing +0.73%.

The Milanese stock exchange enjoys timid gains as the FTSE MIB exhibits +0.48% up, continuing its run after three consecutive rises, which began last Thursday; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share nudges up to 37,085 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap gains marginally (+0.57%); on the same line, the FTSE Italia Star trades moderately higher (+0.49%).

Among Italy's best performing large-caps, DiaSorin stands out, progressing +2.21%.

A positive performance for Banca Popolare Sondrio, which advances by a notable +1.53%.

Interpump Group records a fairly pedestrian increase of +1.43%.

Banco Bpm is only just in the black as it climbs a scant +1.35%.

Iveco has the worst performance, with a -2.32% down.

Investors are selling as ENI records a -2.18% fall.

Pirelli & C is sluggish, declining marginally (-0.54%).

Technogym (+3.84%), Alerion Clean Power (+2.95%), Comer Industries (+2.13%) and Buzzi (+2.04%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.

Digital Value has the worst performance, with a -2.35% down.

Sesa shows a negative session -1.88% down.

Troubled Danieli & C falls -1.72%.

D'Amico is modestly down, shedding -1.33%.
