Milan treads water

News Image (Teleborsa) - The Italian stock market remains unchanged , while Europe's major bourses slide. Meanwhile, the US markets confirm a dire performance, with the S&P-500 sliding -1.59%.

EUR / USD trades down -0.21% in a weak session. Gold is just below the flatline as it slips -0.31%. Light Sweet Crude Oil rises +0.87% to 71.21 dollars per barrel.

The Spread improves significantly, decreasing -7 basis points to +112 BPs, with the Italian 10Y BTP yield at +3.52%.

Among the markets of the Old Continent, Frankfurt trades with a small loss of -0.38%, tottering London dips -0.62%, and Paris is definitely weaker with a -0.55% decrease.

Milan's Piazza Affari is essentially stable, with the FTSE MIB trading sideways at 34,139 points; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share is trading on a dull note, at 36,334 points, around the previous day's levels.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap hovers just below the flatline (-0.27%); similarly, the FTSE Italia Star is below the flatline, slipping -0.56%.

MPS Bank (+2.04%), Bper (+0.96%), Unipol (+0.92%) and A2A (+0.89%) top the ranks of Milan's large-caps.

Stmicroelectronics sees the heaviest sell-offs, now trading -1.68% lower.

Interpump Group is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 1.62%.

Buzzi slips just under the flatline with a -1.28% decrease.

Ferrari contracts moderately by -1.08%.

Rai Way (+1.68%), Acea (+1.64%), Caltagirone (+1.56%) and Banca Ifis (+0.95%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.

Moltiply Group reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -2.70% down.

Comer Industries trades negative, losing -1.89%.

Cementir plunges -1.68%.

LU-VE Group declines by a notable -1.6%.
