Milan takes a dip but Europe plunges

News Image (Teleborsa) - Piazza Affari is trading on a weak note, while the other European markets record heavy losses.

EUR / USD is essentially stable, finishing at 1.105. Gold is trading at previous levels, with a variation of -0.14%. Crude oil rises in an upbeat session, with Light Sweet Crude Oil gaining as much as +1.75%.

The Spread is broadly on the previous day's level as it settles at +142 basis points, while the Italy ten-year BTP is at +3.63%.

Among the markets of the Old Continent, Frankfurt suffers losses of 0.82%, London is subdued, shedding -0.58%, and investors hurry to sell as Paris declines -0.95%.

Piazza Affari slips fractionally as the FTSE MIB sheds -0.41%, extending its bearish run of three consecutive declines, which started last Monday; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share is slightly down, trading just below the flatline at 35,858 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap hovers just below the flatline (-0.53%); on the same trend direction, the FTSE Italia Star is in the red (-0.78%).

Saipem (+3.32%), Banca Popolare Sondrio (+1.40%), Telecom Italia (+0.92%) and Banca Mediolanum (+0.92%) top the ranks of Milan's large-caps.

Moncler reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -2.57% down.

Stmicroelectronics plunges -2.29% on intense selling.

Investors are selling as Amplifon records a -2.08% fall.

Interpump Group shows a negative session -2.07% down.

Ferretti (+1.74%), Alerion Clean Power (+1.68%), MFE B (+1.19%) and Danieli & C (+1.17%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.

Technoprobe sees the heaviest sell-offs, now trading -2.96% lower.

Troubled Lottomatica falls -2.35%.

Ferragamo is down, with a net loss of 2.24%.

Reply is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 2.13%.
