Milan takes a dip but Europe plunges

News Image (Teleborsa) - Piazza Affari is trading on a weak note, while the other European markets record heavy losses.

EUR / USD is slightly down at 1.076. There is no significant change for gold which, at 2,296.4 dollars per ounce, is traded around previous levels. A slightly better session for Light Sweet Crude Oil, as it advances to 75.66 dollars per barrel.

The Spread is firmly up, adding 8 basis points to trade at +139 BPs, while the Italian 10-year BTP yield is at +4%.

Among the European indices, Frankfurt is definitely weaker with a -0.6% decrease, London slips just under the flatline with a -0.42% decrease, and Paris suffers a -1.8% decline.

Piazza Affari is trading negative, with the FTSE MIB shedding -0.84%; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share retreats -0.79% to trade at 36,592 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap hovers just below the flatline (-0.45%); similarly, the FTSE Italia Star is below the flatline, slipping -0.53%.

Among Italy's best performing large-caps, Leonardo records a fairly pedestrian increase of +0.87%.

Prysmian is only just in the black as it climbs a scant +0.82%.

Stmicroelectronics sees the heaviest sell-offs, now trading -2.26% lower.

Investors are selling as Stellantis records a -2.14% fall.

Moncler shows a negative session -1.82% down.

Troubled Brunello Cucinelli falls -1.54%.

SAES Getters (+1.65%), Caltagirone (+0.74%) and Intercos (+0.63%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.

Credem has the worst performance, with a -1.25% down.

SOL contracts moderately by -1.22%.

Sanlorenzo is subdued, shedding -1.13%.

Ferragamo falls just below its previous value.
