Markets weak, but Milan avoids sell-offs

News Image (Teleborsa) - European bourses are trading on a downward note, while Piazza Affari resists the downdraft.

EUR / USD trades slightly up at 1.058. Gold makes timid gains, progressing by +0.21%. Caution prevails in the oil market, with Light Sweet Crude Oil registering a slight decline of -0.55%.

The Spread is substantially lower, falling -11 basis points to +111 BPs, with the Italian 10-year BTP yield at +3.54%.

Among the European indices, Frankfurt essentially treads water (-0.19%), London goes nowhere, reporting a -0.06% change, and Paris is basically unchanged, reporting a scant -0.17% variation.

In Milan, the FTSE MIB is largely stable, trading at 34,312 points; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share bounces around the flatline, trading at 36,457 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap trades sideways (-0.18%); the FTSE Italia Star slips a fraction (-0.65%).

Generali (+4.26%), Iveco (+2.74%), Mediobanca (+2.39%) and Saipem (+1.86%) among the top performers in Milan.

Interpump Group sees the heaviest sell-offs, now trading -3.41% lower.

Stmicroelectronics declines by a notable -2.25%.

Bper is struggling, -1.65% down.

Hera suffers losses of 1.51%.

Alerion Clean Power (+4.82%), Fincantieri (+2.99%), Reply (+2.79%) and El.En (+2.20%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.

Marr has the worst performance, with a -8.05% down.

A dramatic session for Technoprobe, which suffers a -5.32% collapse.

De'Longhi suffers a -3.83% decline.

Investors hurry to sell as Carel Industries declines -2.37%.
