Markets positive, Milan falls behind

News Image (Teleborsa) - The European bourses end the session firmly up, but Piazza Affari misses out on the European updraft and closes near previous levels. Meanwhile, on the New York Stock Exchange the S&P-500 is up +1.24%.

EUR / USD is essentially stable at previous levels, finishing at 1.086. Gold is up +0.88% at 2,385.6 dollars per ounce. A day to forget for Light Sweet Crude Oil as it retraces -1.71% to trade at 76.94 dollars per barrel.

The Spread is at +138 basis points, near the previous day's level, while the ten-year BTP settles at +3.75%.

Among the European indices, Frankfurt makes fairly pedestrian progress (+0.65%), London forges ahead by +1.21%, and Paris is in positive territory with a +1.22% increase.

The Borsa Italiana closes flat, with the FTSE MIB settling at 33,812 points; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share (Milan) hovers around previous levels, closing at 36,035 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is moderately up (+0.61%); similarly, the FTSE Italia Star is only just in the black (+0.64%).

ENI (+3.34%), Brunello Cucinelli (+3.14%), Leonardo (+3.05%) and Interpump Group (+2.45%) among the top performers in Milan.

Saipem reports the heaviest losses, ending the session -4.17% down.

Stmicroelectronics suffers a -3.87% decline.

Investors are selling as Stellantis records a -3.05% fall.

Banco Bpm totters along with a modest -1.33% decline.

LU-VE Group (+4.99%), Pharmanutra (+4.09%), Piaggio (+3.50%) and The Italian Sea Group (+2.50%) are among Italy's top mid-cap stocks.

Zignago Vetro sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -7.85% lower.

Tinexta plunges -6.5%.

Ariston Holding nosedives by -5.93%.

A sluggish day for D'Amico, which drops -1.33%.
