Markets on standby. Piazza Affari in good shape

News Image (Teleborsa) - Caution prevails today on the European markets. However, the Milan stock market's performance is excellent, in striking contrast to the rest of Europe. A positive result for the US bourse, where the S&P-500 boasts a +0.64% rise.

EUR / USD holds its position at 1.107. Gold is just below the flatline as it slips -0.22%. Light Sweet Crude Oil is firmly in the red as it tumbles -2.57% to trade at 73.96 dollars per barrel.

The Spread flatlines, remaining at +142 basis points, while the Italian ten-year BTP is at +3.67%.

Among the European indices, Frankfurt trades largely sideways, London reports no significant price changes in the absence of fresh cues, and stagnant Paris trades to a near stalemate.

Milan is trading slightly higher, with the FTSE MIB advancing to 34,392 points, consolidating after four consecutive days of gains, which began last Tuesday; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share nudges up to 36,603 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is up +0.83%; on the same trend direction, the FTSE Italia Star climbs +0.81%.

Banca Popolare Sondrio (+2.43%), Bper (+2.35%), Iveco (+2.06%) and ERG (+1.74%) among the top performers in Milan.

DiaSorin reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -1.14% down.

A sluggish day for ENI, which drops -1.03%.

Saipem trades with a small loss of -0.98%.

Tottering Amplifon dips -0.68%.

Juventus (+7.94%), Ferretti (+5.25%), Pharmanutra (+4.64%) and Cembre (+3.10%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.

Comer Industries sees the heaviest sell-offs, now trading -1.52% lower.

Philogen is definitely weaker with a -1.4% decrease.

Lottomatica slips just under the flatline with a -0.51% decrease.
