Markets on standby. Piazza Affari in good shape

News Image (Teleborsa) - Caution prevails today on the European markets. However, the Milan stock market's performance is excellent, in striking contrast to the rest of Europe.

EUR / USD climbs a tad to 1.092. Gold is essentially stable at previous levels, finishing at 2,740.7 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil is firmly bullish (+3.1%), reaching 71.64 dollars per barrel.

The Spread is broadly on the previous day's level as it settles at +125 basis points, while the Italy ten-year BTP is at +3.66%.

Among the major European bourses, Frankfurt is stuck at the previous session's levels, London is only just in the black as it climbs a scant +0.63%, and Paris lacks momentum in this session, reflected in a moderate gain of 0.25%.

Milan is trading slightly higher, with the FTSE MIB advancing to 34,759 points; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share nudges up to 36,854 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is practically unchanged (+0.1%); on the same trend direction, the FTSE Italia Star holds the line (-0.18%).

DiaSorin (+1.34%), Saipem (+0.95%), Telecom Italia (+0.94%) and Brunello Cucinelli (+0.87%) among the best performing blue chips in Piazza Affari.

Iveco reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -1.55% down.

Amplifon totters along with a modest -1.24% decline.

A sluggish day for Generali, which drops -0.97%.

Campari trades with a small loss of -0.74%.

Banco di Desio e della Brianza (+4.81%), Ferragamo (+3.23%), Philogen (+2.81%) and Juventus (+1.59%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.

Moltiply Group reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -1.88% down.

Tottering Rai Way dips -1.49%.

BFF Bank is definitely weaker with a -1.26% decrease.

D'Amico slips just under the flatline with a -1.2% decrease.
