Markets of the Old Continent are all positive
(Teleborsa) - A rush of buy orders hits the European stock markets as Piazza Affari closes on the same positive note as the Old Continent bourses.
EUR / USD is essentially stable, finishing at 1.081. Gold trades down -0.32% in a weak session. A day to forget for Light Sweet Crude Oil as it retraces -4.8% to trade at 68.33 dollars per barrel.
The Spread (the difference between the Italian BTP and German Bund yields) drops to +120 basis points, down -3 BPs from its previous level, with the Italy 10-year BTP yield at +3.53%.
Among the major European bourses, Frankfurt is only just in the black as it climbs a scant +0.28%, it's a stalemate for London, which is trading around the flatline, and Paris rises +0.78% on positive cues.
In Milan, the FTSE MIB registers a fractional gain of +0.62%, consolidating after three consecutive days of gains, which began last Thursday; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share notches up to 37,125 points.
The FTSE Italia Mid Cap inches up +0.65%, as the FTSE Italia Star is trading just above the flatline (+0.6%).
Banca Popolare Sondrio (+1.82%), MPS Bank (+1.55%), Banco Bpm (+1.51%) and Bper (+1.44%) among the top performers in Milan.
ENI reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -1.77% down.
Maire (+3.26%), Technogym (+2.08%), Buzzi (+1.76%) and Safilo (+1.74%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.
De'Longhi has the worst performance, with a -1.09% down.
D'Amico is definitely weaker with a -0.95% decrease.
GVS slips just under the flatline with a -0.81% decrease.
Danieli & C contracts moderately by -0.57%.
