European markets wary as Milan slides
(Teleborsa) - Piazza Affari finishes with sharp losses, sapping investor optimism on Europe's markets, which, in turn, jitter to a flat close. On the US market trading is up for the S&P-500.
EUR / USD makes timid gains, progressing by +0.41%. Gold jumps +1.93% in an upbeat session. Crude oil rises in an upbeat session, with Light Sweet Crude Oil gaining as much as +2.8%.
The Spread declines to settle at +116 basis points, a reduction of 6 BPs, while the Italian BTP 10-year yield is +3.59%.
Among the major European bourses, Frankfurt reports no significant price changes in the absence of fresh cues, London is modestly up (+0.57%), and stagnant Paris trades to a near stalemate.
