European markets on standby

News Image (Teleborsa) - The major European bourses are trading on a cautious note. Uncertainty and wariness also pervade Milan, where stocks cling close to the flatline. Meanwhile on Wall Street the S&P-500 marks a +0.34% gain.

EUR / USD broadly maintains the previous session's levels, with a change of only -0.02%. Gold is essentially stable at 2,330.9 dollars per ounce. Caution prevails in the oil market, with Light Sweet Crude Oil registering a slight decline of -0.2%.

The Spread trades slightly higher, adding 2 basis points to reach +159 BPs, with the Italy BTP 10-year yield at +4.03%.

Among the major European bourses, Frankfurt trades largely sideways, London reports no significant price changes in the absence of fresh cues, and Paris suffers losses of 0.78%.

Milan's Piazza Affari is essentially stable, with the FTSE MIB trading sideways at 33,139 points; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share is trading on a dull note, at 35,334 points, around the previous day's levels.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap holds the line (+0.11%); similarly, the FTSE Italia Star holds previous levels (+0.03%).

Saipem (+2.41%), Tenaris (+1.89%), Stmicroelectronics (+1.71%) and Iveco (+1.49%) among the best performing blue chips in Piazza Affari.

Brunello Cucinelli reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -3.14% down.

Investors hurry to sell as Finecobank declines -1.98%.

Terna plunges -1.8% on intense selling.

Investors are selling as Bper records a -1.73% fall.

Maire (+4.17%), Mondadori (+3.37%), Italmobiliare (+1.97%) and SOL (+1.97%) top the ranks of Milan's mid-caps.

OVS reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -4.94% down.

Fincantieri shows a negative session -2.18% down.

Troubled Ariston Holding falls -1.98%.

Zignago Vetro is down, with a net loss of 1.82%.
