European equity in the red. Milan also down

News Image (Teleborsa) - It looks like a gloomy day for Piazza Affari and Europe's other major bourses.

EUR / USD holds its position at 1.079. Gold trades fractionally lower in this session, shedding -0.58% so far. Light Sweet Crude Oil loses a lot of ground, retracing by -1.36% to trade at 71.38 dollars per barrel.

The Spread is substantially lower, falling -8 basis points to +122 BPs, with the Italian 10-year BTP yield at +3.69%.

Among the major European bourses, Frankfurt drifts -0.7% lower, London plunges -0.89% on intense selling, and investors are selling as Paris records a -0.74% fall.

In Milan, the FTSE MIB is below the flatline as it slips -0.58% to 33,786 points; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share is in retreat at 35,941 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap slips a fraction (-0.3%), as the FTSE Italia Star descends -0.82%.

Saipem (+2.37%), Pirelli & C (+2.30%), ERG (+2.07%) and A2A (+1.58%) among the best performing blue chips in Piazza Affari.

Unipol has the worst performance, with a -4.69% down.

Iveco shows a negative session -3.75% down.

Troubled Recordati falls -3.75%.

Bper is down, with a net loss of 3.45%.

Technoprobe (+2.12%), BFF Bank (+1.92%), ENAV (+1.25%) and OVS (+1.18%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.

Carel Industries sees the heaviest sell-offs, now trading -5.25% lower.

D'Amico is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 3.49%.

Safilo trades negative, losing -3.19%.

Ferragamo plunges -2.66%.
