European equity in the red. Milan also down

News Image (Teleborsa) - It looks like a gloomy day for Piazza Affari and Europe's other major bourses.

There is no significant change for EUR / USD which, at 1.083, is traded around previous levels. Gold is essentially stable at 2,359.3 dollars per ounce. Oil prices are essentially stable, with Light Sweet Crude Oil trading sideways at 82.11 dollars per barrel.

The Spread rises a scant 2 basis points to reach +138 BPs, with the Italy BTP 10-year yield at +3.91%.

Among the European indices, Frankfurt drifts -0.48% lower, resilient London registers a small increase of 0.22%, and Paris is down, with a net loss of 0.76%.

Caution prevails in Milan as the FTSE MIB registers a marginal drop of -0.46%; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share is slightly down, trading just below the flatline at 36,122 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is below the flatline, slipping -0.27%; on the same trend direction, the FTSE Italia Star is slightly lower (-0.32%).

Among Italy's best performing large-caps, Iveco attracts bids with a +2.92% rise.

Prysmian is firmly in the black, progressing +2.88%.

Leonardo advances +0.81%.

Saipem edges higher, showing an increase of 0.70%.

Generali reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -2.01% down.

Banca Popolare Sondrio totters along with a modest -1.06% decline.

A sluggish day for Mediobanca, which drops -0.99%.

Unicredit trades with a small loss of -0.89%.

Juventus (+3.62%), SOL (+1.32%), Ascopiave (+0.85%) and Cembre (+0.64%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.

Fincantieri sees the heaviest sell-offs, now trading -5.63% lower.

Zignago Vetro is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 1.66%.

Tottering Industrie De Nora dips -1.39%.

Reply is definitely weaker with a -1.36% decrease.
