European equity closes in the red. Milan also down

News Image (Teleborsa) - A gloomy day for Piazza Affari and Europe's other major bourses. Wall Street sees the S&P-500 move up a notch, registering an increase of 0.29%.

EUR / USD is essentially stable, finishing at 1.08. Gold trades up, advancing to 2,770.9 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil loses -0.21%, changing hands at 67.24 dollars per barrel.

The Spread sees substantial appreciation, rising by 11 basis points to settle at +129 BPs, while the Italy 10Y BTP yield is at +3.56%.

Among the major European bourses, Frankfurt drifts -0.27% lower, London declines by a notable -0.8%, and Paris totters along with a modest -0.61% decline.

The Milanese stock market has a weak session, with the FTSE MIB closing -0.26% down; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share finishes below the flatline, at 37,049 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap finishes just below the flatline (-0.43%); similarly, the FTSE Italia Star slips below the flatline with a drop of -0.34%.

Tenaris (+1.68%), Stmicroelectronics (+1.60%), Intesa Sanpaolo (+1.18%) and Bper (+0.93%) among the top performers in Milan.

Stellantis sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -2.41% lower.

ERG is struggling, -2.2% down.

Moncler suffers losses of 1.85%.

Investors hurry to sell as Pirelli & C declines -1.78%.

Digital Value (+5.49%), Moltiply Group (+3.15%), Carel Industries (+2.88%) and Cembre (+1.97%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.

BFF Bank has the worst performance, closing -5.01% down.

MFE A plunges -2.27% on intense selling.

Investors are selling as Ferragamo records a -2.24% fall.

El.En shows a negative session -2.2% down.
