European bourses sharply down. Piazza Affari contains losses

News Image (Teleborsa) - Heavy sell-offs on the main markets of the Old Continent. Investors are also selling in Piazza Affari, albeit with smaller losses. Meanwhile, US stocks trade in the red.

There is no significant change for EUR / USD which, at 1.085, is traded around previous levels. Gold is slightly up at 2,421.2 dollars per ounce. Oil prices see no significant change, with the Light Sweet Crude Oil settling at 77.58 dollars per barrel, near the previous session's level.

The Spread rises to settle at +138 basis points, an increase of 4 BPs, with the Italy BTP 10Y yield at +3.79%.

Among the European indices, investors hurry to sell as Frankfurt declines -0.89%, London trades largely sideways, and Paris plunges -1.04% on intense selling.

The Milan stock market looks weak, with the FTSE MIB trading -0.53% lower; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share is slightly down, trading just below the flatline at 36,684 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap slips a fraction (-0.62%); on the same line, the FTSE Italia Star hovers just below the flatline (-0.45%).

Italgas (+1.57%), Snam (+0.76%), Bper (+0.63%) and ERG (+0.58%) among the top performers in Milan.

Iveco sees the heaviest sell-offs, now trading -14.91% lower.

Saipem plunges -4.3%.

Investors are selling as Leonardo records a -3.29% fall.

Moncler shows a negative session -2.97% down.

Alerion Clean Power (+4.21%), Caltagirone (+1.79%), Iren (+1.48%) and Industrie De Nora (+1.35%) are among Italy's top mid-cap stocks.

SOL sees the heaviest sell-offs, now trading -2.53% lower.

Troubled Ferragamo falls -2.25%.

Technogym is down, with a net loss of 2.16%.

De'Longhi is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 1.99%.
