European bourses sharply down. Piazza Affari contains losses

EUR / USD broadly maintains the previous session's levels, with a change of only -0.04%. Gold advances with a fractional gain of +0.38%. Light Sweet Crude Oil is slightly down at 81.76 dollars per barrel.
The Spread is at +137 basis points, near the previous day's level, while the ten-year BTP settles at +3.92%.
Among the major European bourses, investors hurry to sell as Frankfurt declines -0.99%, London contracts moderately by -0.59%, and Paris plunges -1.34% on intense selling.
The Milan stock market looks weak, with the FTSE MIB trading -0.5% lower; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share comes under sell-off pressure as it retreats to 36,114 points.
The FTSE Italia Mid Cap slips a fraction (-0.21%); on the same trend direction, the FTSE Italia Star hovers just below the flatline (-0.32%).
Prysmian (+3.71%), Iveco (+2.30%), Leonardo (+1.35%) and DiaSorin (+0.92%) top the ranks of Milan's large-caps.
Finecobank reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -2.36% down.
Investors are selling as Saipem records a -1.94% fall.
Generali shows a negative session -1.88% down.
Troubled Campari falls -1.64%.
Carel Industries (+3.16%), SOL (+1.75%), Acea (+1.45%) and Pharmanutra (+1.36%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.
Fincantieri reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -3.65% down.
Zignago Vetro is down, with a net loss of 3.32%.
Industrie De Nora is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 2.77%.
Caltagirone trades negative, losing -2.45%.
