European bourses negative. Milan holds steady

News Image (Teleborsa) - The major European markets dip into negative terrain, while Piazza Affari manages to avoid a selling spree, ending the session near the flatline. In the United States, the S&P-500 lacks direction.

EUR / USD is slightly down at 1.051. Gold climbs to 2,693.4 dollars per ounce, rising +1.23%. Light Sweet Crude Oil rises +0.91% to 68.99 dollars per barrel.

The Spread crawls up 2 basis points to +107 BPs, with the Italy BTP 10-year yield at +3.2%.

Among the European indices, it's a stalemate for Frankfurt, which is trading around the flatline, London is down, with a net loss of 0.86%, and Paris is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 1.14%.

In Milan, Piazza Affari closes at previous levels, reporting a -0.1% change; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share trades flat, closing at 36,750 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap posts marginal gains (+0.42%); the FTSE Italia Star closes sideways (-0.08%).

Banco Bpm (+1.22%), MPS Bank (+1.17%), Stellantis (+0.97%) and Amplifon (+0.93%) among the top performers in Milan.

Brunello Cucinelli has the worst performance, closing -1.32% down.

Stmicroelectronics is modestly down, shedding -1.26%.

Leonardo drifts -1.15% lower.

Unipol totters along with a modest -0.94% decline.

Digital Value (+11.78%), SOL (+7.04%), Intercos (+4.21%) and Technogym (+2.63%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.

GVS has the worst performance, closing -3.43% down.

Tinexta trades negative, losing -2.72%.

El.En plunges -2.18%.

A sluggish day for Ascopiave, which drops -1.46%.
