European bourses negative. Milan holds steady

News Image (Teleborsa) - The major European markets dip into negative terrain, while Piazza Affari manages to avoid a selling spree as stocks hover near the flatline.

Caution prevails as EUR / USD continues the session slightly lower (-0.22%). Gold trades slightly up at 2,673.7 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil trades fractionally lower in this session, shedding -0.62% so far.

The Spread flatlines, remaining at +106 basis points, while the Italian ten-year BTP is at +3.2%.

Among the markets of the Old Continent, stagnant Frankfurt trades to a near stalemate, London is modestly down, shedding -0.51%, and Paris drifts -0.53% lower.

The Milan stock exchange takes a breather, with the FTSE MIB trading at 34,559 points; similarly, no shame no gain for the FTSE Italia All-Share as it trades flat at 36,775 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap holds the line (+0.13%); on the same trend direction, the FTSE Italia Star holds previous levels (+0.2%).

Amplifon (+1.01%), Finecobank (+0.99%), ERG (+0.89%) and MPS Bank (+0.85%) among the top performers in Milan.

Unipol reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -1.45% down.

Leonardo totters along with a modest -1.43% decline.

A sluggish day for Brunello Cucinelli, which drops -1.16%.

Saipem trades with a small loss of -1.12%.

SOL (+6.20%), Digital Value (+5.02%), Moltiply Group (+2.41%) and Carel Industries (+1.89%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.

GVS reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -2.17% down.

Investors hurry to sell as Maire declines -2.12%.

Tottering Acea dips -1.45%.

Tinexta is definitely weaker with a -1.1% decrease.
