European bourses negative. Milan holds steady

News Image (Teleborsa) - The major European markets dip into negative terrain, while Piazza Affari manages to avoid a selling spree as stocks hover near the flatline.

EUR / USD is essentially stable, finishing at 1.099. Gold is trading at previous levels, with a variation of +0.09%. Light Sweet Crude Oil plunges to 75.55 dollars per barrel amid heavy sell-offs, losing -2.06%.

The Spread remains unchanged at +131 basis points, while the Italy ten-year BTP is at +3.57%.

Among the European markets, Frankfurt trades largely sideways, London trades negative, losing -1.13%, and Paris totters along with a modest -0.6% decline.

The Milan stock exchange takes a breather, with the FTSE MIB trading at 33,755 points; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share is trading on a dull note, at 35,886 points, around the previous day's levels.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap slips a fraction (-0.36%); the FTSE Italia Star holds the line (-0.07%).

DiaSorin (+2.05%), Italgas (+1.66%), Ferrari (+1.34%) and Bper (+1.23%) among the best performing blue chips in Piazza Affari.

Recordati sees the heaviest sell-offs, now trading -2.26% lower.

Moncler plunges -1.86%.

Brunello Cucinelli declines by a notable -1.67%.

A sluggish day for Campari, which drops -1.41%.

Moltiply Group (+1.87%), LU-VE Group (+0.95%) and D'Amico (+0.82%) top the ranks of Milan's mid-caps.

Ferragamo has the worst performance, with a -3.88% down.

Technoprobe is struggling, -2.83% down.

Ariston Holding suffers losses of 1.98%.

Investors hurry to sell as Caltagirone declines -1.76%.
