European bourses, Milan adrift

News Image (Teleborsa) - Piazza Affari and the major bourses of the Old Continent close with heavy losses as Europe's bearish currents take hold. On Wall Street, meanwhile, investors are in high spirits as the S&P-500 posts a +2.05% increase.

A black day for EUR / USD which sinks -1.83%. A day to forget for gold, which retraces -2.88% to trade at 2,664.8 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil is largely stable at 71.93 dollars per barrel.

The Spread is broadly on the previous day's level as it settles at +125 basis points, while the Italy ten-year BTP is at +3.7%.

Among the European markets, investors are selling as Frankfurt records a -1.13% fall, London reports no significant price changes in the absence of fresh cues, and Paris is modestly down, shedding -0.51%.

A black day for the Milan bourse which dives -1.54%: the FTSE MIB thereby cements its negative run, with three consecutive declines recorded since last Monday; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share loses a lot of ground as it retreats -1.46% to end at 36,023 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap slips a fraction (-0.6%); on the same line, the FTSE Italia Star spirals down (-0.79%).

Tenaris (+6.76%), DiaSorin (+5.57%), Leonardo (+3.46%) and Stellantis (+1.75%) among the best performing blue chips in Piazza Affari.

Unicredit has the worst performance, closing -5.31% down.

A dramatic session for Inwit, which suffers a -5.25% collapse.

Campari suffers a -4.78% decline.

ERG plunges -3.95%.

Credem (+5.61%), Buzzi (+4.81%), Digital Value (+4.77%) and Carel Industries (+2.34%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.

Ariston Holding sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -5.73% lower.

De'Longhi nosedives by -5.5%.

Investors flee as Zignago Vetro is down by a massive -5.5%.

Alerion Clean Power dives -4.11%.
