European bourses, Milan adrift

News Image (Teleborsa) - Piazza Affari and the major bourses of the Old Continent sustain heavy losses as Europe's bearish currents take hold. On the US market, the S&P-500 is in fairly positive terrain.

EUR / USD climbs a tad to 1.04. Gold creeps up +0.3%. Light Sweet Crude Oil is slightly up, rising to 70.33 dollars per barrel.

The Spread charges ahead, rising as much as 6 basis points to trade at +123 BPs, while the Italy 10-year BTP yield is at +3.47%.

Among the European indices, Frankfurt plunges -1.19%, London declines by a notable -1.15%, and Paris is struggling, -1.18% down.

A session to forget for the Italian bourse, with the FTSE MIB yielding -1.57%; similarly, investors sell furiously as the FTSE Italia All-Share takes a sharp plunge to 36,035 points, falling -1.57%.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is in the doldrums (-1.56%); on the same trend direction, the FTSE Italia Star plummets (-2.15%).

Saipem is the only blue chip in Milan to obtain good results, gaining +3.99%.

Telecom Italia sees the heaviest sell-offs, now trading -7.01% lower.

A black day for Stmicroelectronics, which sheds -5.65%.

Interpump Group is in free fall, diving -4.3%.

Nexi suffers losses of 3.41%.

Pharmanutra (+1.32%) and Anima Holding (+0.77%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.

Sesa has the worst performance, with a -11.59% down.

Technoprobe drops like a stone, recording a -4.99 percent decline.

A dramatic session for Ferretti, which suffers a -4.29% collapse.

Ariston Holding suffers a -4.17% decline.
