European bourses in the red. Milan comes out bottom
(Teleborsa) - Europe's stock markets are trading on the minus side of the ledger, while Milan is weighed down by even heavier losses. On Wall Street, the S&P-500 hovers around the flatline.
EUR / USD creeps higher, showing a +0.26% rise. A day of solid gains for gold, which records a +1.84% rise. Light Sweet Crude Oil gains +1.84% amid a flurry of buy orders.
The Spread goes down to +118 basis points, shrinking -4 BPs, while the Italian 10-year BTP yield is at +3.6%.
Among the European markets, tottering Frankfurt dips -0.44%, stagnant London trades to a near stalemate, and Paris is definitely weaker with a -0.2% decrease.
In Milan, the FTSE MIB tumbles -1.73%, finishing deep in the doldrums at 33,600 points; similarly, a day to forget for the FTSE Italia All-Share as it retreats -1.61% to trade at 35,743 points.
The FTSE Italia Mid Cap hovers just below the flatline (-0.35%); similarly, the FTSE Italia Star is below the flatline, slipping -0.59%.
Banco Bpm (+2.29%), Bper (+2.26%), Telecom Italia (+1.58%) and Banca Popolare Sondrio (+1.00%) among the top performers in Milan.
Stmicroelectronics has the worst performance, with a -2.48% down.
DiaSorin is down, with a net loss of 2.24%.
Interpump Group is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 2.14%.
Iveco trades negative, losing -1.71%.
