European bourses flatline. Milan in the red

News Image (Teleborsa) - The Milanese stock exchange trades negative, while markets elsewhere in Europe cling to the flatline. On Wall Street the S&P-500 is basically stagnant, posting a paltry +0.06% change.

EUR / USD advances with a fractional gain of +0.38%. Gold is in positive terrain, earning +1.13%. Light Sweet Crude Oil enjoys a positive session, gaining +0.82%.

The Spread steps up to add 3 basis points, reaching +156 BPs, with the BTP 10-year yield at +4.01%.

Among the European indices, Frankfurt performs modestly, showing a moderate +0.37% rise, it's a stalemate for London, which is trading around the flatline, and Paris totters along with a modest -0.51% decline.

Caution prevails in Milan as the FTSE MIB registers a marginal drop of -0.58%, extending its bearish run of three consecutive declines, which started last Tuesday; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share loses -0.52% to trade at 35,533 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is practically unchanged (+0.05%); on the same trend direction, the FTSE Italia Star holds the line (+0.1%).

Among Italy's best performing large-caps, Brunello Cucinelli boasts a +3.96% increase as investors scramble to get their hands on shares.

Saipem is in good shape, advancing +2.4%.

Resilient ENI registers a small increase of 1.24%.

Amplifon advances +1.03%.

Campari has the worst performance, with a -3.78% down.

Stellantis is down, with a net loss of 3.03%.

Recordati is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 2.34%.

Italgas trades negative, losing -1.75%.

SOL (+2.33%), CIR (+2.27%), D'Amico (+2.25%) and Danieli & C (+2.12%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.

Ferragamo sees the heaviest sell-offs, now trading -9.32% lower.

Ariston Holding plunges -3.02%.

Alerion Clean Power declines by a notable -3%.

Ascopiave is struggling, -2.6% down.
