European bourses flatline. Milan in the red

News Image (Teleborsa) - The Milanese stock exchange trades negative, while markets elsewhere in Europe cling to the flatline.

EUR / USD holds its position at 1.059. Gold advances with a fractional gain of +0.34%. Light Sweet Crude Oil meanders around the flatline, settling at 69.03 dollars per barrel.

The Spread jumps to +119 basis points, an increase of 3 BPs, with the Italy BTP 10Y yield at +3.52%.

Among the European indices, a sluggish day for Frankfurt, which drops -0.27%, London records a fairly pedestrian increase of +0.24%, and Paris is essentially flat, offering a scant -0.14%.

Piazza Affari slips fractionally as the FTSE MIB sheds -0.54%, continuing its downward trajectory that has seen three consecutive drops since last Friday; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share is slightly down, trading just below the flatline at 35,725 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap trades sideways (-0.07%); on the same line, the FTSE Italia Star lacks direction (+0.01%).

Among Italy's best performing large-caps, Recordati is only just in the black as it climbs a scant +0.9%.

Snam lacks momentum in this session, reflected in a moderate gain of 0.88%.

DiaSorin makes fairly pedestrian progress (+0.81%).

Hera looks composed with modest growth of +0.65%.

Banca Popolare Sondrio has the worst performance, with a -2.22% down.

Banco Bpm is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 1.78%.

Iveco trades negative, losing -1.56%.

Leonardo trades with a small loss of -1.41%.

Digital Value (+2.64%), D'Amico (+2.14%), The Italian Sea Group (+1.89%) and Reply (+1.71%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.

Ferragamo sees the heaviest sell-offs, now trading -1.54% lower.

Tottering Tinexta dips -1.43%.

Intercos is definitely weaker with a -1.32% decrease.

De'Longhi slips just under the flatline with a -1.04% decrease.
