Europe, Milan power ahead

News Image (Teleborsa) - Europe is buoyed by fresh buying, as is the Milan bourse, which posts big gains. On Wall Street, the S&P-500 trades marginally lower, shedding -0.25%.

EUR / USD is essentially stable, finishing at 1.056. There is no significant change for gold which, at 2,573.9 dollars per ounce, is traded around previous levels. Light Sweet Crude Oil enjoys a positive session, gaining +0.35%.

The Spread improves, shedding -4 basis points to settle at +122 BPs, while the Italian 10-year BTP yield is at +3.55%.

Among the markets of the Old Continent, Frankfurt is in good shape, advancing +1.37%, London edges higher, showing an increase of 0.51%, and Paris stands out, progressing +1.32%.

A day of solid gains in Piazza Affari, with the FTSE MIB rising +1.93%; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share surges to end the session at 36,508 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is buoyed by fresh buying, up +1.32%; on the same trend direction, the FTSE Italia Star is on a joyride (+2.19%).

MPS Bank (+11.60%), Telecom Italia (+8.15%), Banca Popolare Sondrio (+4.69%) and Interpump Group (+3.77%) among the best performing blue chips in Piazza Affari.

Iveco has the worst performance, closing -2.51% down.

DiaSorin is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 1.96%.

Tottering Leonardo dips -0.79%.

Reply (+7.41%), Carel Industries (+6.67%), Ferragamo (+5.61%) and Moltiply Group (+3.71%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.

Juventus sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -2.99% lower.

Technogym trades negative, losing -2.74%.

The Italian Sea Group plunges -2.65%.

Alerion Clean Power declines by a notable -2.65%.
