Europe, Milan power ahead

News Image (Teleborsa) - Europe is buoyed by fresh buying, as is Piazza Affari, which posts big gains. In the United States, the S&P-500 lacks direction.

EUR / USD trades slightly up at 1.076. Gold is trading at previous levels, with a variation of +0.21%. Light Sweet Crude Oil is on the plus side, rising +1.04%.

The Spread is sharply lower at +148 basis points (-9 BPs), while the Italian 10-year BTP yield is at +4.07%.

Among the major European bourses, Frankfurt is essentially healthy, gaining +0.67%, London is modestly up (+0.56%), and Paris soars, recording a substantial +1.78% rise.

A day of solid gains in Piazza Affari, with the FTSE MIB rising +1.86%, breaking its streak of four consecutive rises, which began last Tuesday; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share surges, trading at 35,960 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap inches up +0.49%, as the FTSE Italia Star is trading just above the flatline (+0.33%).

MPS Bank (+5.91%), Unicredit (+4.25%), Bper (+3.98%) and Poste Italiane (+3.24%) among the top performers in Milan.

Prysmian reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -2.49% down.

Stmicroelectronics drifts -0.8% lower.

Interpump Group totters along with a modest -0.58% decline.

Fincantieri (+6.07%), Banca Ifis (+5.51%), OVS (+3.06%) and Credem (+2.58%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.

D'Amico has the worst performance, with a -2.57% down.

Maire trades negative, losing -2.33%.

Reply plunges -2.03%.

A sluggish day for Philogen, which drops -1.47%.
