Europe, Milan power ahead
(Teleborsa) - Europe is buoyed by fresh buying, as is Piazza Affari, which posts big gains. On the US exchange the S&P-500 moves just above neutral (+0.22%).There is no significant change for EUR / USD which, at 1.073, is traded around previous levels. Gold trades up, advancing to 2,347.9 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil is slightly up, rising to 81.27 dollars per barrel.
The Spread sees a slight drop, falling to +151 basis points, while the Italy 10-year BTP yield stands at +3.96%.
Among the European markets, Frankfurt rises +0.72% on positive cues, London is only just in the black as it climbs a scant +0.58%, and Paris is in good fettle with a +1.2% increase.
The Milanese stock exchange enjoys a positive session as the FTSE MIB gains +1.29%; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share surges above the previous day's levels to trade at 35,871 points.
FTSE Italia Mid Cap puts in an excellent performance (+1.61%); on the same line, the FTSE Italia Star improves sharply (+1.9%).
Among Italy's best performing large-caps, A2A is in good shape, advancing +2.74%.
Azimut stands out, progressing +2.64%.
A positive performance for Italgas, which advances by a notable +2.1%.
Unicredit's +1.92% surge cheers investors.
Iveco has the worst performance, with a -0.84% down.
Mondadori (+8.31%), Sesa (+6.30%), Zignago Vetro (+4.31%) and Carel Industries (+4.02%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.
Danieli & C sees the heaviest sell-offs, now trading -2.36% lower.
A sluggish day for Ariston Holding, which drops -1.04%.
Caltagirone trades with a small loss of -1.03%.
Tottering Ferragamo dips -0.73%.
