Europe, Milan power ahead

News Image (Teleborsa) - Europe is buoyed by fresh buying, as is Piazza Affari, which posts big gains. Meanwhile, the New York Stock Exchange continues to gain ground, with the S&P-500 up +1.11%.

EUR / USD is up +0.88%, reaching 1.084. Gold creeps up +0.5%. Light Sweet Crude Oil rises +1.68% to 79.21 dollars per barrel.

The Spread declines to settle at +138 basis points, a reduction of 4 BPs, while the Italian BTP 10-year yield is +3.89%.

Among the European markets, Frankfurt attracts bids with a +1.42% rise, London is firmly in the black, progressing +0.97%, and Paris performs well, growing +1%.

The Milanese stock exchange looks bullish, with the FTSE MIB advancing to 34,347 points, putting an end to the bearish streak of three consecutive drops since last Friday; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share delivers positive performance, trading +1.38% up over the previous close.

FTSE Italia Mid Cap puts in a good performance (+1.43%); similarly, the FTSE Italia Star is up +1.44%.

Stmicroelectronics (+3.44%), Inwit (+2.80%), Banca Mediolanum (+2.66%) and Saipem (+2.52%) among the best performing blue chips in Piazza Affari.

Leonardo sees the heaviest sell-offs, now trading -2.02% lower.

A sluggish day for Telecom Italia, which drops -1.36%.

LU-VE Group (+3.79%), Alerion Clean Power (+3.55%), Danieli & C (+3.09%) and Digital Value (+3.01%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.

Italmobiliare reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -1.88% down.

Philogen trades with a small loss of -1.44%.
