Europe in good shape. Piazza Affari out of line
(Teleborsa) - Stock markets in the Old Continent witness a lively trading session and close with fractional gains. Lacking the buying impetus seen elsewhere in Europe Milan falls behind. Wall Street stocks are also lower.EUR / USD broadly maintains the previous session's levels, with a change of only -0.06%. Gold is essentially stable at previous levels, finishing at 2,514.5 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil rises +2.26% to 67.23 dollars per barrel.
The Spread is broadly on the previous day's level as it settles at +139 basis points, while the Italy ten-year BTP is at +3.46%.
Among the major European bourses, Frankfurt lacks momentum in this session, reflected in a moderate gain of 0.35%, London goes nowhere, reporting a -0.15% change, and Paris is basically unchanged, reporting a scant -0.14% variation.
In Milan, Piazza Affari closes at previous levels, reporting a -0.12% change; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share ends the session on a dull note, at 35,259 points, near the previous day's levels.
The FTSE Italia Mid Cap slips below the flatline with a drop of -0.56%, as the FTSE Italia Star is slightly down (-0.45%).
Unipol (+1.95%), Saipem (+1.67%), Italgas (+1.46%) and Campari (+1.14%) top the ranks of Milan's large-caps.
Mediobanca has the worst performance, closing -1.64% down.
Amplifon is down, with a net loss of 1.55%.
Nexi drifts -1.16% lower.
DiaSorin totters along with a modest -1.01% decline.
Industrie De Nora (+4.99%), Cembre (+2.70%), Ariston Holding (+1.93%) and Digital Value (+1.49%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.
Buzzi has the worst performance, closing -2.84% down.
Moltiply Group is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 2.77%.
Danieli & C trades negative, losing -2.15%.
Zignago Vetro plunges -2.08%.
