Europe in good shape. Piazza Affari out of line

News Image (Teleborsa) - Stock markets on the Old Continent witness a lively trading session, closing with fractional gains. Milan lacks the buying impetus seen elsewhere in Europe and falls behind. On the US market, the S&P-500 is in fairly positive terrain.

EUR / USD is up +0.84%, reaching 1.051. A day to forget for gold, which retraces -2.55% to trade at 2,639.9 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil is firmly in the red as it tumbles -1.75% to trade at 69.99 dollars per barrel.

The Spread flatlines, remaining at +122 basis points, while the Italian ten-year BTP is at +3.45%.

Among the major European bourses, Frankfurt records a fairly pedestrian increase of +0.51%, London is only just in the black as it climbs a scant +0.42%, and Paris reports no significant price changes in the absence of fresh cues.

The Milan stock exchange takes a breather, with the FTSE MIB trading at 33,462 points; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share bounces around the flatline, trading at 35,625 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap gains marginally (+0.48%), as the FTSE Italia Star trades moderately higher (+0.54%).

Banco Bpm (+5.27%), Stmicroelectronics (+3.29%), ERG (+2.93%) and Campari (+2.60%) among the best performing blue chips in Piazza Affari.

Unicredit has the worst performance, with a -4.19% down.

Bper is struggling, -1.51% down.

MPS Bank is modestly down, shedding -1.38%.

Leonardo drifts -1.22% lower.

Alerion Clean Power (+3.25%), Ferretti (+3.19%), Carel Industries (+2.53%) and Technogym (+2.39%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.

Comer Industries reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -3.39% down.

D'Amico suffers losses of 2.95%.

Investors hurry to sell as Banca Ifis declines -2.69%.

El.En plunges -1.73% on intense selling.
