Euroland bourses contract, Piazza Affari weakest

News Image (Teleborsa) - The Milan stock exchange is markedly down, while the major European exchanges see only moderate losses. On the US exchange, the S&P-500 is essentially stable with a percentage change of +0.06.

EUR / USD is essentially stable at previous levels, finishing at 1.069. Gold loses -1.36% to stand at 2,327.9 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil continues to trade sideways, registering a -0.18% change.

The Spread flatlines, remaining at +151 basis points, while the Italian ten-year BTP is at +3.92%.

Among the European markets, Frankfurt slips just under the flatline with a -0.5% decrease, London contracts moderately by -0.42%, and Paris is subdued, shedding -0.56%.

The Milan bourse ends down, with the FTSE MIB witnessing a -1.09% drop; similarly, it's a gloomy day for the FTSE Italia All-Share, which ends the session at 35,511 points, down -1.07%.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap ends negative (-0.91%); similarly, the FTSE Italia Star spirals down (-1.11%).

Hera (+1.43%), Nexi (+1.36%), Saipem (+1.17%) and ERG (+0.75%) among the top performers in Milan.

MPS Bank has the worst performance, closing -3.79% down.

Amplifon is down, with a net loss of 3.78%.

Banca Popolare Sondrio is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 2.84%.

DiaSorin trades negative, losing -2.82%.

Juventus (+2.07%), Lottomatica (+2.00%), Sesa (+1.74%) and Ferretti (+1.19%) are among Italy's top mid-cap stocks.

Intercos reports the heaviest losses, ending the session -3.61% down.

MFE B plunges -3.39%.

Ariston Holding declines by a notable -3.36%.

GVS is struggling, -3.26% down.
