EU bourses are up, Milan flat

News Image (Teleborsa) - The Milan stock exchange ends on a flat note, quite unlike the bullish finish seen elsewhere in Europe. On Wall Street the S&P-500 is basically stagnant, posting a paltry +0.04% change.

EUR / USD creeps higher, showing a +0.19% rise. Gold is slightly up at 2,731.1 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil slides -1.09% to 70 dollars per barrel.

The Spread improves significantly, decreasing -8 basis points to +120 BPs, with the Italian 10Y BTP yield at +3.46%.

Among the European indices, Frankfurt is modestly up (+0.34%), it's a stalemate for London, which is trading around the flatline, and lacklustre Paris registers almost no change against the previous trading session.

At close, there is no significant change at the Milan exchange, with the FTSE MIB settling at 34,699 points, near its previous level; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share ends the session on a dull note, at 36,834 points, near the previous day's levels.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is only just in the black (+0.36%); similarly, the FTSE Italia Star inches up +0.37%.

Saipem (+4.64%), Brunello Cucinelli (+1.57%), Stellantis (+1.45%) and Prysmian (+1.24%) among the top performers in Milan.

Banco Bpm has the worst performance, closing -2.03% down.

Troubled Nexi falls -1.98%.

MPS Bank is down, with a net loss of 1.77%.

Pirelli & C is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 1.75%.

De'Longhi (+6.26%), Reply (+2.86%), Mondadori (+1.88%) and Ascopiave (+1.61%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.

Digital Value sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -7.08% lower.

Sesa trades negative, losing -2.81%.

Sanlorenzo plunges -1.77%.

SOL is sluggish, declining marginally (-1.23%).
