Dramatic losses in Milan

News Image (Teleborsa) - A dramatic session at the Borsa Italiana, which closes with heavy losses. The other European bourses are sharply down. On the New York Stock Exchange, the S&P-500 hovers around the flatline.

EUR / USD climbs a tad to 1.086. Gold creeps up +0.39%. Crude oil rises in an upbeat session, with Light Sweet Crude Oil gaining as much as +2.04%.

The Spread flatlines, remaining at +128 basis points, while the Italian ten-year BTP is at +3.61%.

Among the major European bourses, investors hurry to sell as Frankfurt declines -1.13%, London plunges -0.73% on intense selling, and investors are selling as Paris records a -1.1% fall.

A day of gloom for the Borsa Italiana as the FTSE MIB drops -1.21%; similarly, investors sell as the FTSE Italia All-Share closes down at 36,620 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is slightly down (-0.6%); similarly, the FTSE Italia Star declines -1.23%.

Leonardo (+1.32%) and Pirelli & C (+0.63%) top the ranks of Milan's large-caps.

Campari reports the heaviest losses, ending the session -18.50% down.

Amplifon suffers a -4.56% decline.

Stmicroelectronics shows a negative session -3.58% down.

Troubled Prysmian falls -3.57%.

Maire (+3.47%), Juventus (+2.92%), Mondadori (+1.43%) and Technogym (+1.32%) are among Italy's top mid-cap stocks.

Zignago Vetro sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -6.00% lower.

El.En plunges -4.04%.

Technoprobe nosedives by -3.85%.

Sesa is down, with a net loss of 3.12%.
