A grim day for European equity. Milan in the red
(Teleborsa) - The major European bourses are all in the doldrums. The Milanese stock exchange is also trading lower, but with less severe losses. Selling prevails on the US markets as the S&P-500 takes a dip.
EUR / USD creeps higher, showing a +0.31% rise. Gold climbs to 2,617.6 dollars per ounce, rising +0.91%. A gloomy day for Light Sweet Crude Oil, which is trading at 68.6 dollars per barrel, down -1.13%.
The Spread is at +116 basis points, near the previous day's level, while the ten-year BTP settles at +3.45%.
Among the markets of the Old Continent, Frankfurt is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 0.99%, London trades negative, losing -0.74%, and Paris plunges -0.98%.
Piazza Affari slips fractionally as the FTSE MIB sheds -0.69%; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share is slightly down, trading just below the flatline at 35,710 points.
