Stellantis cooperating (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 22 Jul - The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said it was probing complaints that some Ram pickup trucks and Jeep Wagoneer SUVs can lose power, shift into park and apply the emergency brake.

The investigation covers about 150,000 vehicles made by Stellantis from the 2022 model year.

The auto safety regulator said the system converts captured energy from braking to power some electrical components.

But it said it had 80 complaints from owners that the engines can shut down, often at low speeds. Sometimes they cannot be restarted.

Stellantis said it was cooperating with the probe.
